Does anyone know what type of records i could get and who i would need to contact? Also how much do they usually cost?

For public records, you can find all different records, depending on which state you're looking for. You can look up court cases, sexual offenders and more. Try http://www.crimcheck.com, they have an extensive public records section you can use for free. Good Luck!
