Public showers in college?

Question

I'll be attending college next month, and I'll be staying at the dorm residence. The thing is, they only have communal group showers (even my highschool gym has privacy stall showers!!). I'm a bit nervous as this will be my first time showering in public with a bunch of other guys openly! this sound embarrassing, I hope i will be able to cope with it. Any experience or thoughts you can share? how about masturbating, i will no longer have privacy in my dorm room!

Well i would say the best thing to do is find a time where no one else would be showering. I would say early in the morning, most college guys aren't going to be getting up to early. And remember it is college, hopefully everyone will be a little more mature about things in the shower. ohhhh and wear flip flops in the shower....so you don't get some weird foot fungus....Ummmm as far as masturbating......just do it in the stall....

Communal showers suck. Try to get in early when noone else is up yet - and no one is really going to be "judging" you cos they'll all be just as nervous! I guarantee that. As for masturbating - wait til your roomie leaves! That's about all you can do, lol.

Hey its pretty uncommon for most colleges to not have private or semi private showers, so sorry about that.

but really do not worry about it.  you will be showering with guys who are hung over and feel terrible a lot of the time, so i doubt you will get any grief from being naked around them.  and just act natural - kinda like how they say an animal can sense fear.  maybe visit a ymca or local pool and get used to public showering there so it will not be such a shock at school.  

trust me - masturbating will get done.  you will know your roomies schedule and figure out a time to do it.  being a young guy it only takes a few minutes you know?

Just get in there, do what you gotta do and get out. Yeah, you'll be nervous the first few times, but once the newness of it all wears off you won't think nothing more of it.

As for masturbating, well.... something tells me you'll find the time for that! Where theres a will, theres a way!

You might find that everyone using the same showers looks pretty much like you. Otherwise, you may be able to do as I did most of the time, and just take note of when everyone else showers, and do it at a different time of the day. As far as having privacy for other things, don't get too narrow minded about it. There are going to be bathroom stalls and times when you have a room all to yourself, you will figure it all out when school starts. Maybe you will have a dorm that wacks off together! hehe.

We didn't have private stalls in our high school. Hey its only college, you should be glad its not in the military. Nothings private there, not even the toilets. And you won't be able to jack off unless you do it in bed after the lights are out and that would be messy. Be like all men and just let it all hang out pal. That's just real life in the big city.
