Public speaking?

I'm very good at public speaking but the "How to get there" part has always been a big problem. I don't know where to start! What do I do?

Do you want to know how you get there with writing a speech?

Focus on the audience. Find out what they want to know. Help them solve a problem that is common to many. I gave my first paid speech in front of a bunch of teachers getting advanced degrees at a local college. I was only in high school. They had a need I could answer.

If you mean how do you get there to become a public speaker, then you need to start finding places where you can speak.

There are a number of places you can go. For instance, you can start to teach at a local community college even if you do not have an advanced degree.

You can book speaking gigs at schools and colleges.

You can even speak on cruise ships and cruise for free. Then use your contacts to book more speaking gigs.

I have cruised three times for free.
