Publicity for high school volunteer organization (9000 members)?

Question

i am part of publicity for our high school's volunteer organization

it is student run with parent sponsor we rarely receive any funding

even though we're the biggest club on campus we get little notice from the district

how can we improve our publicity?

we have facebook group, website, email list, some signs around the school

what else can we do? thanks

The best thing you can do is talk to people, face-to-face. Not just other students but parents, teachers and other adults.

Plan a project and get it noticed in the local paper. This is sometimes easier said than done but it can be done.

That must be an awful big high school to have 9000 members in just one club.

Ask your local pizza place to sponser  your group for one night.

pass out flyers and when people come in to eat the pizza place gives your group 10 %.

they more than make their money back by all the extra cusomers they have that night.
