Publisher Clearing house 1000 shopping spree?

Today i received a call from publisher clearing house saying I had won 1000 dollar online shopping spree, and I would have to cover shipping. Is this a scam?

I would say yes it is a scam, if you win a prize, shipping and handling should be included/

It may not be a scam but it is not worth it. I won a prize at an auto dealer worth $250 at a web site. The only problem was that each item cost under $20 and had a shipping and handling charge equal to what I believed it was worth.

Unless you entered the contest, forget it.

YES - don't do it!!!!  They would never ask you to cover shipping for anything!!!!!
