Publishing writing.?

I used to be in a creative writing class and my teacher said i should get my work published. I dont know how to publish it and is there any way to do it for free?

There isn't really a "free" way to publish. try, www.lulu.com you can upload your book, and they'll print it for you for a bit of a fee, but they'll sell it for a small royalty but you don't actually pay out of your pocket, they just take out of what u make.
