  1. I was in Grand Canary in May, I did not visit Puerto Rico, I did a day trip to Porto Mogan instead. While I am sure you would be able to find some restaurants, I think that area is pretty small. Most people recommend staying in the Playa del Ingles area if you want more night life, (pubs and clubs).

  2. i live there a few years ago and puerto rico was a great place to stay. Harleys bar, Linekers are good fun, they are localed in the main Centro Commercial in Puerto Rico. the Europa Centre is another commercialcentre which is more family orientated and is located at the top left hill in puerto rico. there anre many great restaurants there, alot of the are 'barbacoa' restaurants and they do mean steaks, whether it be fillet or sirloin, also the french onion soup is delicious and worth a try, also a serving of canarian potatoes is something you shouldnt miss, served with 'mojo' sauce (spicy) they are devine x

Jokers nightclub in the main centre of puerto rico is alot of fun, it is located at the basement but its very well signed. the atmosphere is great and 'bongo' drums accompany modern dance club music which gives the place a very 'carnival' feel.

the restaurants near the seafront are highly reccomended, as its fresh caught seafood straight from the atlantic.

i would also suggest to visit playa del ingles for nightlife , there is g*y and straight \areas so depending on your personal preference be aware your heading to the right 'square' as they are knwn. the nightlife is far far hectic there but puerto rico is the place to be based on the island.

go to Mogan on a day out as it is a picturesque fishing village with the best seafood/fish restaurants in the whole of europe, they are always on tv and travel programmes, also the marina and market there are lovely too.

also Robert Maxwell was last seen there before his yacht was found adrift off the coast of Mogan (he was a british media tycoon).... you probably didnt want to know that much info but i though id put it in here anyway xx

hope you enjoy the island xx
