Pubs closing at a scary rate!!

so many pubs are closing down for redevelopement mainly due to government policies, ie smoking ban, supermarket loss leaders tons of red tape etc etc. Our traditions and culture are under threat. What are we to do??

smoking bans are a good thing.  as for pubs or in the US Bars closing... good, there should be a few less.   It dosn't make sence i can look out the front of my buisness and see 4 bars.  People will still go out and party, if they want to smoke, let them do it in their own home.

i know, the CAMRA people, campaign for real ale have details on how many, probably caused by high prices, smoking ban, and people buying cheaper for home use.

It is a shame for the Pub culture in GB that many are closing. Perhaps they will rebound in the near furure.
