Pubs in the Uk?

This summer I'm going to Cambridge with EF and I wanted to know about pubs.I'm under 18 so:

1)Am I allowed to enter a pub?

2)How can I go in without getting in trouble?Do u have to show your identity card?

your allowed to enter but you can't drink alcohol, and no you don't need i.d to enter a pub, just to buy booze if you don't look old enough

You can go in but are underage to drink. If you don't look 18 they should ask for an ID card. Though going on some of the kids i have seen in pubs no one seems to bother.

I only go into this pub when I'm in Oxfordshire because I go with a family friend. I'm allowed in as long as I don't order alcohol (I wouldn't anyway!) I just go in and get an egg mayo baguette or something delish like that lol

I'd go in with adult supervision if I were you just to be on the safe side, but yes as others said some pubs won't let you in

No you can't get into clubs but you can get into pubs, if you are over 16 and are planning on drinking soft drinks. (It has to be a family friendly pub)

There may be some Pubs that won't let you in, if you are under 18, but it's usually clearly stated on the door. There is a pub by me that is Over 25's only, so there are the odd ones, but for the most part, you will be fine, but you won't get served alcohol

What people above have said is mostly true: you can enter MOST pubs (some restrict entry), but you can't order alcohol. However, you are permitted to drink alcohol with a meal if you are 16 or 17, provided an adult buys it and is present with you.

You won't be allowed into clubs, and will probably be asked for ID if you try (depending on how old you look).

You can go in a pub you just cant drink alcohol till your 18 , you cant smoke in British pubs any more since the smoking ban arrived last year.If you go in to the right kind of pub you can do what you want , if you know what i mean.
