Pudge is a HOFamer for sure, now that he is playing for the Yankees do you think he will retire a Yankee?

Most players that play for the Yankees even for 1 season that retire and played most of their career for another franchise will likely want to retire a Yankee. I think they are a bunch sell outs.

  1. no he is a FA at the end of the year and knows that posada is the man in NY, unless posada never fully recvers and is forced to play 1st and platoon with giambi at DH and first, which could work . He knows the yankees wont get rid of jorge

  2. wow thats an interesting thought, i would like it to happen but i dont think it will.

  3. he probably won't retire a yankee cause once jorge posada recovers they might trade pudge.

  4. Pudge loves the game far too much to walk away after this year,..and with so many teams with less than mediocre catching,..Pudge will be in demand as a free agent, and this will simply become another Yankee rent-a-player for two months.

  5. Doubt it. He will probably go back to Texas and retire.

  6. If they do anything this year, yeah, but i think he will be remembered as a Marlin (i am the only person who remembers marlins cuz i appreciate a team that doesn't buy world series) because he did great in the play-offs there, they won the world series and he spent about a third of his career there.

  7. Wow, this was news to me... some folks work 12 hour days! :o)  Anyhow, I also remember Pudge as a Marlin and saw him win a World Series with them.  I was hoping that he and the ex-Marlins in Detroit would win another one, but that seems like a long shot now.  He will make the Hall, but I am still unsure as to what logo he will wear in.  Maybe, he will retire in south Florida and the Marlins will get their first HOFer!  Other future Hall of Famers who once wore teal will be Hoffman, Piazza, Beckett and Cabrera - you heard it here first!

Go Fish and good luck Pudge - i.e., go Yanks!

  8. I think that he will go to another team next year as a Free Agent.

  9. Pudge will retire after this year and he will retire a Yankee.  Yes everyone wants to retire a Yankee and they are all sell outs.

The thing is everyone grew up watching the Yankees winning world series.  I even pretended to hit a walkoff HR in the World Series to win it all for the Yankees.  I lived in North Carolina at the time.

  10. It could happen. He looks like he has only a couple years left on him.

  11. i doubt it, posada is the face and future of yankee catching. i think once posada is healthy, pudge gets shipped down the road. his age and ability lately wont keep him as a starter in ny. he's not going to retire anytime soon, though.
