Puerta Vallarta or Cabo for a wedding?? Why?

We're looking into destination weddings, if you 've been to both, which would you recommend and why... Puerta Vallarta or Cabo? Where do you recommend staying??

Hi I have a friend that just moved to Puerto Vallarta 4 weeks ago from Cabo. He was in The Food Beverage @ a major Resort in Cabo. If you'd like I could contact him about Cabo & Destination Weddings? I personally have been to Puerto Vallarta about 20 times in last 6 years and Absolutely Love it.

Not an answer, just info:

I just wanted to point out that many people who get married in Mexico first have an "official" civil ceremony back in their home country: US, Canada, etc., and then go to Mexico for the elegant church wedding ceremonies.

You can have a perfectly valid civil ceremony in Mexico also, but you will have to fill out forms and take a blood test there.  This will probably add a few days to your Mexico stay.

So, to avoid the hassles, the couple has a simple civil ceremony back home to become legally married in the eyes of the government.  Later, they go to Mexico for the church ceremony to become married in the eyes of a higher authority.

I hope the both of you will find a lifetime of happiness in your upcoming union.

P.S.: I prefer Puerto Vallarta, but my decision is too biased because I have a house there.

If you want a glorious tropical wedding with an American feel, go to Cabo. If you want a glorious tropical wedding with a Mexican feel, go to Puerto Vallarta. Go to the www.tripadvisor.com website, type in "Mexico forums" in the search. Go to each forum, type in "wedding" and you will find a wealth of information for each place. I personally love Puerto Vallarta, also known as "Paradise", but each is different.

Have been to both locations - Neuvo Vallarta 4 times Cabo once.  

Have seen few beach weddings sunset in Neuvo. Most Cabo hotels face east in afternoon/evening (if you're interested in sunset ceremony). Neuvo's beaches are nicer than in Puerto Vallarta. Both areas are very nice.
