Puerto Plata or Punta Cana?

Well I am going on vacation soon with my parents and my brother and I was wondering where we should go; my parents gave us the choice between Puerto Plata or Punta Cana- Im 16 years old if that makes a diff on things to do there.

I think teens would like Puerto Plata more.  The north coast has more things to do.

Paintball-Puerto Plata

Have fun and don't eat lettuce or cabbage.

It depends for surfing, snorkeling and being able to walk around and do some activities outside the resort the your choice is Puerto Plata.

For a more relaxable environment type just to hang out the hotel area then Punta Cana is your option.

It depends what you are looking for. Punta Cana is only hotels and beach, not much outside the hotels. The town is 50 miles away!

Puerto Plata you have a more disco's, bigger beaches, Ocean World ( swim with dolphins) Isabella de Torre (cable car) and town at 15 min with public bus. The choice between more than 28 hotels.. from 3 to 5+ stars.

My VIP guests go always to Puerto Plata because Punta Cana is more for people who like to stay inside their "golden jail hotels"... your choice !

My choice would definetly be Punta Cana!!

The beaches are much more nicer.

I would say punta cana. Its nicer there, its safer, the hotels are nicer and more luxurious, but either place you stay you'll have an AMAZING time.
