Puerto Rican Homes?

What is a typical Puerto Rican home like? I am doing a project and can't find any information about the subject. Thanks a bunch!

  1. What do you mean what the actual house structure is like or do you mean the home life??

    Most homes are made of cement to withstand hurricanes & they are usually boxy, meaning they have square shapes. Also some people have small wooden homes because they are cheaper, but most have cement. Most floors are tiled, not many have carpeting because of the hot weather. There are poor homes, rich homes & in between. Some people live in condos or apts or in Caserios which are housing projects. The homes are usually painted brightly colored. & many windows have metal shutters for hurricanes that are horizontal that open & close. Some houses have cisternas, which are big things that hold extra water. In the mountains some people have farms with a house & alot of land they are called Haciendas.  Here are some examples of homes:
