Well  we  both  speak Spanish..we were colonized by spain.

we have some food in common..

we had Taino indians  (similar culture as the aztecas /mayans)

Except for the fact that they were both Spanish Colonies until about 100 years ago...

...and....

They both speak the same language.

They have similar climates.

They both have heavily Catholic leanings.

They both have economies that rely heavily on tourism.

...plus...

Jamaica was an English Colony with no Spanish heritage.

Africa is not anything like Puerto Rico.

...no tribal warfare.

...no widespread famine.

...PR citizens get to have freedom
