    we have some food in common..

    we had Taino indians  (similar culture as the aztecas /mayans)

    They both speak the same language.

    They have similar climates.

    They both have heavily Catholic leanings.

    They both have economies that rely heavily on tourism.

    ...plus...

    Jamaica was an English Colony with no Spanish heritage.

    Africa is not anything like Puerto Rico.

    ...no tribal warfare.

    ...no widespread famine.

    ...PR citizens get to have freedom

    ...Puerto Ricans are all rich by comparison with Africans
