Puerto Rico is the door for illegal inmigration, why?

why US needs to keep it open? , i know a lot of people that comes through and no one to cares about.

As it was stated before me, we Puerto Ricans are American Citizens since 1917.

I am a little bit confused about your question. I am assuming that you mean that many illegal aliens come to the states through Puerto Rico. If that's the case, I am sure some some illegal aliens might be able to do it. However, Must illegal aliens come from the Mexico and Canada's border.

I lived in Puerto Rico for almost 25 years, and never met a single illegal alien. I am not saying there are none, I am sure there are a few Cubans, Dominicans, and Haitians along with other countries who live in Puerto Rico illegally.

Although is not impossible to come to the states from Puerto Rico, is much easier for them to travel to Mexico or Canada, and then come to the states, if you think about it, is just a walking distance.
