Puerto Vallarta Mexico???Please Help!!?

So I am considering going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for my vacation over the summer I would ganna be there in June. My main questions are how is there snorkling there, is there a lot of like, wildlife or marine animals and is there any ruins to visit near by. If you know PLEASE let me know!! thank you! <3

Go to Cabo, something has to have if Jaques Custeau himself called it the biggest aquarium of the world.

But if you&#039;re also looking for ruins, really, go to the Mayan Riviera.

P V  is fun.There is snorkling but not as good as in cancun.The Sierra Madre has  canopy tours and you can visit the wild side.The are no ruins there  but everything you mentioned is in  cozumel and cancun.I have been to all these places and like them all.

North part of the bay is Punta de Mita, right there you will find the Marietas Islands.  This is the place where Jaques Custeau spent his last days of life.  This is the best place for snorkling.  It is fantastic.  I go there once a month.  In the main island there is a cave you have to acces underwater in order to get to the interior beach.  It is just spectacular.

Also next to downtown Vallarta is Mismaloya bay. They have a big rock formation called Los Arcos de Mismaloya.  This is another fantastic place to snorkel.  

We have some piramids of the Aztatlan people next  to Vallarta,  this is the Ixtapa area but this place is not worth to see because it is still in the restoring process.  Aztatlan people are decendents of the Aztecs.

There are several great locations around the bay for Scuba and Snorkeling.

There are several tours you can choose from or you can go by yourself to those that don&#039;t require a boat.

Unfortunately,there are no ruins in that area of Mexico.

Personally, I didn&#039;t like Puerto Vallarta much. Tons of tourists, a Burger King, McDonalds, even a Wal-mart! If you&#039;re looking for real Mexico with wildlife, big beaches (public beaches were insanely crowded and loud), I would avoid the Americanized Puerto Vallarta. If you are going to do any snorkiling or wildlife activities you&#039;ll have to go through your resort because I didn&#039;t see any. I would try the Mayan Riviera, its south of Cancun on the east side of Mexico. There are great small Mexican towns with less crowds far from Cancun.
