Good Afternoon,

I am Traveling to Puerto Vallarta Nov 4-11, the wearther shows the average temperature there is highs 85 and Lows in the 70, does that sound about right and does it rain much if at all in Nov? Does it cool down when the sun goes down or are most people running around in shorts most of the time, even after dark? Also, do the restaurants and clubs there have dress codes. I am talking about the average restaurant not the 5 star in the Four Seasons but the popular clubs, etc...like no shorts, no thong sandals, that sort of thing. Any sort of direction would be appreciated. Thanks

  1. Puerto Vallarta in November is what you have mentioned. Not much rain at this time of year. Maybe some scattered showers but very few.

We have been to PV twice in the last two years in November and only had one day that rained for about ten minutes.

When I visit the night spots I wear casual slacks and a light short sleeve shirt, sandals and socks. At night the bugs love exposed skin. I haven't seen any restrictions on dress codes at the clubs outside the resorts. As long as your money is good, they probably could care less.

  2. This is a most lovely time to visit PV. I will be there in less than 2 weeks and stay through the 15th. I am there every Nov. now for almost 30 years [I was but a mere babe in arms keep in mind!] It is not appopriate most anywhere to dine in swimsuit and tees unless you are on the beach. Clean shorts are fine most everywhere and a nice light shirt. Sandals fine too. Just look presentable is all. Most places are quite laid back and you will sense which are more the dress-up style and even those you just need to look nice, but no shorts some spots and no tees showing armpits of men allowed. There should be no rain and definitely no hurricanes. Come for fine beach weather. No jacket at night. The only time you may ever get a chill is up in the mountains dining when a breeze comes through. A light sheet or throw will be fine at night. Days can get hot so carry lotion and water with you. Anything else, feel free to write me offlist.

  3. Before you go check at weather.com and look for Puerto Vallarta, and that`s it.

  4. vallarta is a VERY laid back place. there are NO dress codes at any clubs..just have your I.D. also, in november it starts cooling down and it stops raining mid-october. when the sun goes down, its a good idea to have a light sweater and/or pants. the humidity isnt as bad as right now or the summer months. shorts and t-shirts/tank tops are completely appropriate for the daytime.
