Pull back horse i need help?

i need help fast they wanna sell my horse ok i have a pull back horse hes scared to death of a trailer theres times he will load but i dont wanna keep have to loading him with a lunge line its so dumb i just wish hed load i know it taked time but i have worked with him but nothings working help

Hook the trailer up, string the lunge line through the window so you are standing by your horse and without trying to make him freak out, tell him to load.  Get him to load on cue and stand in the trailer.  This will take time!!!  Teach him to back on cue (but this is harder).  Then, have someone hold the lunge line and you can walk in with your horse while they tell him the cue.  Get him used to this.  Then you can try without the lunge line.  This should take 2-3 weeks of practice every day.  Keep your sessions to a 15-20 minute max.  Hope that helps.


  2. It honestly does take a lot of time. Sometimes you need to hook up ur trailer, and just practice getting him used to it. Use the lounge line, and be very patient. If you lounge him every time he refuses it'll make it more uncomfortable outside the trailer than inside. Just keep working at it...don't know what to tell yah, sorry, hopefully this helps.
