Question:

Pulled an all nighter, Now I'm really sick?

I was awake all night last night, no sleep, through out school I felt fine, slightly tired but I pulled through. I also ate lunch and slept about 10 minutes in my last class.

Thing is just as school ended and as I got home I started feeling slightly weak, figured it was from lack of sleep.

Now I'm feeling I'll with flu-like symptoms minus vomiting with a mild fever but I have no energy what so ever.

So to sum it up, when pulling all nighters; I have never gotten sick like this before, I understand that lack of sleep could possibly weaken my amune system.

Could my illness be directly sleep related or could it possibly have to do with a bad lunch? Or possibly if anything I was infected with a virus days before hand and I just now got sick?

Sorry for the long question.

  1. Get some sleep and find out! If you feel better after, then you'll know. All-nighters can do crazy things to your system.

  2. No sleep = bad immune system.  Bad immune system = you're more likely to catch something.

Or it could just be coincidence and you happened to catch something that day.  If you feel sick by tomorrow night, I'd see a doc.

  3. It's just from a lack of sleep, I used to work at a place that I took care of mentally disabled people I had to pull all nighters all the time & when I get off work I would feel sick to my stomick but once I got a few hours sleep I was fine. So I think u will be fine.
