  1. It could take about 2-4 weeks depending on how you take care of it. I have pulled my hamstring lots of times running cross-country and playing soccer. It depends if you ice it, stretch it, and put muscle rub on, such as icy hot on it.

You need to take care of it, and once you feel that it isn't tight any more, you should be able to run.

  2. It depends on how sever the pull is.

It could take 2 weeks or more before it is healed.

You should be able to run now unless you have separated the tissue.

    Use ice and gentle massage.

Wrap the leg, and try to run. Run as fast as you can until it hurts then slow down a little.

You can train at this speed.

If the pull or tear is very bad then you could be out for a couple of months or need surgery to repair it.

  3. couple of days

  4. This is a painful injury that will take some time to heal.

If you are not feeling better in about 7 days, ask your physician for a referral to a physical therapist.

They will help you to heal properly.

  5. Next time be sure to stretch out before you run!  Try yoga - it'll keep you limber.

  6. about two weeks to be exact but you can ask your coach for some easy workouts so you can stay in proper shape
