I backed over a curb.. brand new car of course. It pulled of the driver's side part of the bumper. No dents, no pain scratches.. just pulled the panel out and it looks like it could snap right back but there's one hole for a bolt and the bolt ripped out the plastic. So basically I need someone to repair the hole around the bolt and bolt it back. Nothing major.. I don't think. What might that cost? Any more than $100? My car salesman said the Nissan service dept may be able to fix it for like $50... any ideas? I'm absolutely crushed that this happened!

  1. you can do it yourself its easy it if not damaged, all you need is a bolt and these small plastic clips that hold your bumper up, check the other side of your bumper that still attached and see what kind of bolt you need plus you will need 2 or 3 plastic clips < you can buy these parts at a nissan dealership. its a easy thing to do ive taken off my rear bumper and front bumper off plenty of times the clips will be like a dollar each or something and the bolt should be around 3 dollars

  2. Hey I backed into a concrete pole base. It just got broke in it is just a car. Now do not beleave anything the salesman said because the bumper s***w holes just behind the wheel are necessary to hold the bumper cover on properly. The leading edge can catch air and bend away from the body at speed. Get it to the body shop for repair estimate.  Some times the bumper cover can be reinforced with epoxy and metal strap across the hole to hold the bumper cover on. Good Luck

  3. This is an easy fix. Go to your local auto parts show them the problem. They will get you a bumper repair kit 10.00 . It comes with some resin, resin harder, and a mesh screen. All you have to do is mix a little of it put some over the hole, put mesh screen on top of that and put  the rest of the resin that you mixed on top of the screen. Let it dry, use drill to make a new hole (through the mesh), and s***w it all back together. Will take about 30 mins.
