  1. Have you tried any simple eye-muscle stretching exercises?  See if this helps.  It shouldn't cause harm; if it causes a sharp pain, don't do it!  If it causes achy eye muscles, do just a little and work up to doing more.

Moving only your eyes, look all the way left.  Look all the way right.  Look all the way up.  Look all the way down.  Hold each one for about 10-15 seconds and then blink and bring your eyes to center before doing the next one.  Go through the list twice.  See if this helps.  If you've had this for years, it may well just be a muscle-use issue.

  2. Sounds like you could need glasses for something. I get the same thing particularly in my most shortsighted eye and it's really uncomfortable. As soon as I put in my contacts or my glasses it's fine.

  3. Have you seen an optometrist about it? That would be the easiest way to find out. There are many possible scenarios that fit what you are describing, but your exact problem can only be determined once your eyes are looked at and your vision tested.

Go and get an eye exam. They are not expensive and you will be able to learn what is causing that pulling sensation. Good luck!
