For the past couple months I've been exercising frequently..well today I was laying down and I had noticed my stomach looked like it was being pumped! I realized that it was just my pulse though cause it was pumping the same time my heart was..but I'd like to know if this is normal? What could this be? I'm a 20 year old girl, I don't drink/smoke/do drugs..if that makes any difference?

  1. You might be pregnant.  I have read about this happening to pregnant women.  You can even read my source if you don't believe me.  Are you pregnant?  I'm sure you are already sexually active.

  2. Perfectly normal.  I have it too,,i'm watching right now.

  3. this means that you are on to much medications and that you need to sue your doctor because he is probably giving you all the wrong stuff. i think your better off sticking to the healthy stuff like watermelon nd tangerine juice from the organic places like the farm in europe... when this pulse feels like its a heart beat i think that you should buy i fish that has the same birthday as you. as the person working at the sea to copy its birth certificate. i like writing with pens instead of pencils. THE ROCK CATS ROCK THE HOUSSSSSSE my hammer from Israel is lying under my bed and i use it to make these bunks beds for these poor orphans in belize i know that people will soon understand the concept of peoples needs and try to help them out. i was watching yo gabba gabba and these puppets sure know how to dance. THERE MUST BE A PARTY IN YOUR TUMMY omgg thats the right answer I SWEARR good luck with the baby.

  4. Yes this is normal. I have had it to . After I exercise or run around it happens.

  5. considering your age and the fact that you don't smoke or drink it's normal. but if you develop low back pain, severe,

get a ct scan. BTW, the answer that said carotid pulse is wrong. that is on both sides of your neck!

  6. Yes. Your Aorta runs behind your heart and through your abdomen. It is your largest blood vessel. It is common to see it's pulsations, especially in slender people. It is completely normal.

  7. If you are thin it could be a normal pulse that you would feel in your wrist or anywhere else but there are some other things that it could be.

The next time you are at your doctor's office you should bring it to the doc's attention.  A pronounced pulse in the abdomen can indicate an aneurysm (a balloon type malformation in the side of an artery) or a hernia.

Is the pulse in your abdomen obvious when you aren't exercising?

This is one of those situations where you are better safe than sorry, and should ask your doc to check it out, but it is not an emergency.

  8. I'm looking for additional details.  Is there any pain or discomfort associated with it?  If you touch it or press down while it is pulsing, does it cause discomfort?   Are the exercises you've been doing involve a lot of stomach muscles?   If you are doing a lot of crunches, this can cause some different feelings in the stomach, but should not be severe.

I would not be worried yet unless there is any discomfort associated with it.

  9. it's not a baby kicking is it?

  10. its normal...

  11. It's normal, it think when you start getting more active it starts to pulsate more. It happened to me when I used to work out and then take a break and lie down on my back. So don't worry, your totally normal.
