Pump broke- what to do? ?

In fact i had this ameda purely yurs pump and it broke, and i hardly have any milk left now, and also it is night and i have tomorrow scheduled by hours, i cannot start looking for the part until tomorrow night, like 8 pm!!!..

WHAT TO DO?

Shoudl i give up the idea of breastfeeding?

The baby is 5 months.

Moreover i have to do travel for work in a few days...

  1. I think you should be able to use formula until you can rebuild your milk supply.  Just nurse your baby as much as you can and hand express some while traveling so your milk supply doesn't diminish completely.  Then you can phase the formula out when your milk supply and supply of pumped milk is rebuilt.

    I don't believe that this is an "all or nothing" thing.  


  2. i had yhe same problem ended up bottle feeding w/formula...if nbeed be you can build your supply back up;though its hard work, it is posible goodluck

  3. can you hand express? Its up to you if you should stop breast feeding.  You expressed and feed your baby for 5 months which is still a good effort.  You should be proud of yourself.  Hope it works out for you and good luck with that pump
