  1. I'm having a fall wedding also and I love the idea of using pumpkins in the decorating. Have you thought of the favors you're going to give out yet? Some neats ideas would be little packets of apple cider, caramel popcorn, leaf shaped cookie cutters, etc. You could also get fall scented candles to put on the tables at the reception. Pumpkin spice, apple pie, and vanilla would be some good choices. There is also a website, I think you can access it through theknot.com. It has little glittery fall leaves to use for decorations on the tables.

  2. Just make sure you put them out close enough to the event time that they don't draw fruit flies. You shouldn't have a problem because of the time of year but it depends where you live. Otherwise it's an awesome idea ( = Crysanthemums are in bloom at that time, come in lots of colors and are low cost, they would be perfect for that!

    Good luck!

  3. Fall is a wonderful time of year for Wedding's!  How warm, and cozy with the fabulous colors of the season.

Organic centerpieces would be a great idea!  I would play around with a few ideas, so the pumpkins don't look like they just got thrown on a table and stuffed with flowers.  For a bit more elegant look, how about a one piece medium size pumpkin in the center, with various flowers and mini pumpkins building up to it all the way around, with a few flowers dripping off the actual big pumpkin.  Add tea lights around the lower part of this arrangement and it will look amazing!

Keep the linens simple with deep chocolate or rust underlay, and a soft ivory overly.  Napkins can be in the same color as the underlay to keep it simple.  Also, try fallen leaves for the isle way instead of flower petals!!!!

    Good Luck

  4. I would not put flowers "in" them, because it hides a lot of the pumpkin's beauty, it's top and stem.  With my daughters, we used complete pumpkins with stems as centerpieces, added a few cream or green small gords, and entwined with green ivy vines.  You could even put a votive candel in a circle of the vines and it would be neat.  We also used plastic dark plum grapes "falling" out of cornucopias with fall colored leaves and minature craft birds.   A 3 stack of Hay bales were stairstepped or "tiered" and decorated with different sized whole pumpkins, potted mums, gords, and ivy.

It was very beautiful and we had lots of compliments.

  5. I think that the pumpkin centerpieces are beautiful! I love the white pumpkin centerpieces. I think they look very lovely. Maybe you could also scatter some fall leaves and place tea lights around the pumpkin.

Do you have an idea of what you want?

Here are a few pictures. I'm sure you already have an idea in mind, but maybe this will help. http://decorvillage.files.wordpress.com/...

Or maybe you could place these around the pumpkins.

  6. oh that's adorable! "fall in love"! ha i love it and the pumpkins :)

  7. I love that idea. I did that for my sons wedding a couple of years ago. We hollowed out pumpkins and put vases inside and beautiful wildflowers. They made stunning centerpieces.

We also did candy wrappers with a fall picture and put "Falling in Love" on them. You could also take mini artificial pumpkins and cover them with glue, then take orange or rust or brown or red glitter and cover them with glitter to add around the centerpieces for a flair.

  8. Be sure they are made the day of so not to get mushy.  you can do fresh or dried flowers or even potten and put the pots in the pumpkin and plant them later.

  9. I DJ'd a wedding last fall, and she had BEAUTIFUL pumpkin centerpieces.

She bought them from Micheals, and put the flowers in herself.  Afterwards, her family members all "claimed" a centerpiece... they loved them!

And hey, bonus, no cutting involved - they were fake, but great!

    Have fun!
