Punch Passing?

Does anyone know exactly what punch passing is in volleyball?

its when you use your fist to pass a ball. i play volleyball and i recommend that you don't use this tecnique...because when you do this the ball can bounce off of your hands in any direction and you have ver ver little control. try normal passing orsetting you will pass much better

Its when you use close fist to hit the volleyball over the net. It isnt illegal you just have to make sure that your fist is closed if not they will call it a "lift" which is bad.

My coach hates when we punch so i only do it when i need to save it frfom going out

i just use my fist.

its kind of like when you're setting, except you have your fists closed. it's usually not the best idea cuz you can't control where the ball goes.
