  1. dump taekwondo and go into boxing, or do both. Taekwondo is more of a workout stretch sport then a fighting art.

  2. Cheese is awesome...on off days I'd just punch the munchkin!

  3. Yes, cheese is the business. Anyway, just shadow box and work on throwing your punches correctly using power from your core and your waist. Do not try to create any new moves just retain what you have been tought. Learning is based on layering until the muscle memory takes over. I throw a fast jab but a friend of mine is working with me on how to throw it the best way. I get frustrated but my body will eventually remember what to do through layering and muscle memory.

  4. lol go for combos... like jab jab straight, hook, hook to body. do it about 50 times, moving around the bag and constantly mixing it up.

    I love cheese too!

  5. better to work on punching during class. on your off days you should work on general fitness. Go swimming, push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, air squats, air lunges, jump-rope, box jump, squat thrusts, run (long distance and sprints), lye down on a bench and grab behind your head then lift your knees to your chest and also lift up some of your lower torso, back extensions, and ride your bike.

  6. Sparring... shadow boxing... practice on a heavy bag.

I *like* cheese a lot... wouldn't go so far as to say I *LOVE* cheese.

  7. I am a former Golden Glove Champion, I suggest the good old shadow boxing technique, this will not primarily help your punch power but it will help your form, technique and a bit of speed will be gained from it.

if you are generally looking on improving your punching power, I suggest you wait till they open that gym up buddy then go to town on that heavy bag and sparring is also good.

warning: not too many fighters know this so I will tell you. excesive hard pounding of the heavy bag will ultimately cause shoulder tissue damage, so take it easy on it, dont wale away on that thing too much, your power will increase with time regardless, as long as you continue to train.

    hope this helps you
