Punching bag workout routine?

I just got a punching bag and am in decent shape. I am looking for a hard workout routine that will work my whole body+cardio or just any tips and advice. I am not looking to be a boxer, just get more cut.

  1. Oh man, just hit the bag all you want in 3-minute rounds in as many (rounds) as you want.  Incorporate basic combinations like 1-2, jab-straight-hook, uppers, etc.


  2. get some duct tape, make a diamond of the bag(a large one). Inside the diamond create 8-10 smaller diamonds, assign each diamond a number, i.e. 1=jab, 2=straight right, 3=left hook, etc, etc. Get warmed up, come up with some crazy number combinations and just let your hands go. Try anything there is no method to the madness but your throwing boxing punched in an unorthodox sequence and so you getting a crazy total body work out. I use to do 1-1-1-1-2-1-2-4-3-3-4-7-1-8-1-3-3-4-4, and just did like 10 times over and switch it up to some other crazy number combo. Do that for 30 minutes to an hour and tell me how that treats you.
