A woman without her man is nothing.

I saw a really cool thing about this and I just wanted to see what everyone does. There's two corrections.

  1. No punctuation except the period at the end of the sentence. The propositional phrase "without her man" is restrictive and should not go in quotes; the gist of the sentence is that men are necessary to women. If you put commas around the prepositional phrase the sentence is declaring that a woman is nothing. That makes no sense.

I don't say that I agree that a woman without her man is nothing, but I do say that no commas are needed.

  2. A woman, without her man, is nothing.

A woman: without her, man is nothing

  3. Interesting.

A woman, without her man, is nothing.

    Wait, or it could be

A woman, without her, man is nothing.

    Huh.

  4. I remember this one... Here are your choices

A woman, without her, man is nothing

A woman without her man, is nothing

  5. A woman, without her, man is nothing.

A woman without her man, is nothing.

I like this one, because with commas, it gives it totally different meanings.
