Punctuation when quoting a chapter from a novel. details?

the sentence is,

Tim O’Brien alluded to this in his chapter from The Things They Carried, On the Rainy River.

it wont let me do it on here but "the things they carried" is in italics.

do i have to do anything to "on the rainy river?"

  1. You should use quotation marks when referring to the title of a chapter within a book.


  2. The title of the book would be underlined, the title of the chapter would be in quotation marks as would the passage being quoted. If the passage quoted is very long then you would indent it in the body of your report as a separate section.
