Pune Warriors India aim to win all their upcoming games
Pune Warriors http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-Sharma-c83352, shared that his team is looking forward to winning their remaining matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The team will be up against the Deccan Chargers (DC) in the 62nd game of the tournament on Monday, May 16, 2011, at the DY Patil Sports Academy, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820.
According to Sharma, “For us all the three matches are like finals. We want a good result in the remaining three matches. We aim to finish on a high. We have gained momentum in the last two matches. By next year it will be a very good team.”
Commenting on the inclusion of the veteran, Saurav Ganguly, in the side, Sharma said, “He shares his experience with youngsters, along with the coach and Yuvraj, which is good for our team. Dada (Saurav Ganguly), Yuvi (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yuvraj-Singh-c98364) and all others are ready
for the game.”
Pune has had some injuries throughout the cash rich tournament. They lost key players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Smith-c90598 and Wayne Parnell has not been fully fit either.
Sharma was also hopeful of making it to the national side, as he has been performing well in the lucrative league. With his notable performance in the domestic, Ranji Trophy, he was eying an opportunity at the highest level.
However, the tall spinner was currently determined to do well in the ongoing IPL, as his team is in a do or die situation.
Pune is currently eighth in the pool with just four wins in 11 games. Chances of the team to qualify for the play-offs are very slim, but the team is focused on win its remaining three matches.
The start to this season was ideal for the debutant team. They managed to win the first two games.
However, things went terribly wrong for Yuvraj and company when they lost seven back to back matches. This almost ruled them out of the tournament, but they have won the last couple of matches to keep their hopes alive.
