Pune Warriors India pacer http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashish-Nehra-c46293 has ruled out his prospects of playing in any of the Indian Premier League games in the ongoing 2011 season.
The 32-year-old Delhi fast bowler said that his fractured finger is recovering fast but has not yet recovered fully to allow him to feature in a match.
“Playing in IPL is out of question right now,” said the left-arm pacer while talking to the media in New http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780. “Although I have started bowling, I still have a slight pain in my fractured finger. At this point of time, batting and fielding are still a problem.
So I would prefer to get fully fit before making myself available for selection.”
Nehra, who was bought by Pune Warriors India in the January 2011 IPL auction for $850,000, fractured his finger in the ICC World Cup 2011 semi-final against archrivals http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482 shot. The injury forced

Nehra said that the pain of missing the ICC World Cup 2011 final will always be there but he is trying to forget the disappointment and wants to make an international comeback as soon as possible.
The Delhi speedster has had a surgery on his fractured finger done in Australia recently. Giving the details of the surgery and his rehabilitation, Nehra said that he is practicing at the National Cricket Academy.
“I have just come back from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 last week. My finger surgery went off well,” Nehra told the media reporters. “My recovery has been pretty good. I was at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) doing my rehabilitation work. I have also started bowling in
the nets and haven't faced any problems.”
He said that he will go back to the NCA for another two weeks of rehabilitation programme where the doctor and team India’s physio will monitor the progress of his recovery. He added that if the physio and doctor give him positive response, he will immediately
submit his fitness certificate making him available for the upcoming tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 in June.
He was also disappointed at not being able to play even a single match for his IPL franchise. However, he said that injuries are something one cannot really evade.
