Pune Warriors cannot afford to be complacent, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashok-Dinda-c1098 – Cricket News Update
Ashok Dinda, the fast bowler from Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861, is delighted with his team’s performance in the on-going fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but he feels that his team cannot afford to be complacent, as there is a lot of cricket still to be
played in the cash-rich league.
Dinda started his IPL career with the Kolkata Knight Riders but he later switched to the Warriors. His team is currently led by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sourav-Chandidas-Ganguly-c90746 and the team has a number of high-profile cricketers.
Last year, Pune failed to make an impression in the IPL but they are off to a good start in the current season and they have won three out of their initial four matches.
Dinda said that his team is doing well but they need to keep performing consistently in order to qualify for the play-offs.
“I am enjoying my time at Pune (Warriors) and we have started very nicely. But we have three important away matches coming up. These are early stages and we have to keep the winning momentum and ensure that we retain our focus,” said Dinda.
The fast bowler has been a part of the Indian team in the recent past and has played seven One Day Internationals (ODI) and three T20 internationals. So far he has not been able to cement a place in the team through his performance but he certainly has the
potential to make it big at the international level.
Dinda has been doing pretty well in the current season and added that he had been in good form during the domestic season as well. The fast bowler said that the ‘yorker’ is the most difficult delivery for a fast bowler to deliver because there is little
margin for error.
“I worked hard before the IPL season began and also had great first-class season. Bowling yorkers is not an easy task and it takes a lot out of a bowler. If it falls in the right areas, it gives you the desired results but it can also be hit for runs if
it doesn’t hit the right spot,” he added.
