Playing in front of home crowd, Warriors had all the support in the world to take on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 led Kings and secure their third win of the tournament from four outings.
Meanwhile, Chennai – the defending champions – who have had a below average tournament so far, needed to get back on the winners' bandwagon by beating Pune.
And before the game, Chennai skipper, while talking about the upcoming game said, “It does not look like a settled wicket. It keeps a bit low. We will bat first. It is not often that we have batted first. I am not sure how the pitch will behave. The boys are excited and this has lifted the dressing room. This is something that we needed. Nonetheless, Chennai fell 20 to 30 runs short, which could have made the asking target a bit difficult for Pune.
Pune have a good batting side and if Chennai fail to grab early wickets, the Warriors should not face any problems on their way to victory.
