Punta Cana, DR?

Question

I will be arriving at the airport at 10:30pm. What is the best way to get to my hotel, Riu Naiboa? Is it safe for us to just hop in a cab or should we ask the hotel to pick us up - do they do that there? Also, do I need to change my US dollar at the airport?

Any DR help is appreciated.

Normally there is a pick-up at the airport to your hotel ( ask the agency) and you don't have to pay nothing at the airport beside the visa 10 us p.p.

No I just see that you arrive at SDQ airport in Santo Domingo, this is a trip between  3h30-4 hours to Punta Cana.

If you need transfer we can pick you up at airport just let me know by e-mail, we are at your service. Let us know date of arrival, hour, company and flight number and how many people your are.

You can redraw money (pesos) with your credit cards at the cash machines.(1us=33.50 pesos)

When we go to punta cana we go thru applevacations and they always have a shuttle bus waiting for us at the airport. We didn't change our money. infact, we were told they prefer the american dollar. whenever we left the room we would leave a few dollars for the maid by the frig and she would leave us extra beer. If you do want to change your money,your bank here should be able to. Ours did when we went to mexico.
