Punto problem?

have just drove my y reg punto to the shop drove it back and the steering has gone very very stiff and there is a picture on the dash of a steering wheel any ideas please

Your power steering went out.  It is either very low on power steering fluid or the pump went out.

You most likely need power steering fluid.  Does it whine when you steer?

or the power steering could just be diconnected, what work was done while it was in the shop?

OK all you experts, a Y reg punto has ELECTRIC power steering, so don't waste your time looking for any fluids or pumps!

It could just be the fuse, but the motors have been known to fail. It needs a trip to a garage unfortunately.

check to see if your steering storage liquid is empty.
