  1. Keep in mind Toddlers need to toddle.  So keep it short.  How about making enough sock puppets/stick puppets/ or paper bag puppets for each child to play with.  I think they might even show kindness and friendship to their puppet.  Just an idea.

  2. As someone has already said, it needs to be short. Also, be sure not to make it too loud. You'd be surprised at how many toddlers are afraid of puppets!

  3. In the show have the puppets model sharing and caring or friendship. Have them model what is and what isn't sharing and caring or friendship. Make up situations to which they can relate and build a story-line around that. Also have audience participation and interaction throughout the show. Have volunteers go up and participate or have a Q&A session. Finally, try not to be too serious and have a little fun with it. I mean try not to be too preachy or over-informative. A little music, some songs or dancing might help, too.

  4. first, make sure the puppets are colorful. In real life, the toddlers would draw more attention to them. (make sure to tell that to the class) Do a puppet show about how all friends are different. Like, animals could all be friends but they are different kinds of animals. Make up fun names for your puppets. Hope it helps!
