  1. You could possibly spray it with bitter lime or bitter apple.

  2. you need a metal one, they are much stronger. my staffy even tries to get out of hers, the bars are all bent, but she will never get through!

the crate is their 'home', as well as for contolling behaviour, training  and keeping them safe, so you need a hard wearing one!

  3. ouch....sorry bro but you should start a puppu in a hard plastic or metal one for that reasion....you can try firmly telling him NO...but other than that your outta luck

  4. Return it.

  5. Clip his nails.

    Yell "NO!" everytime he scratches.

Cut out a cardboard box and put it against the part where he's scratching. (dont cover all the net though)

  6. Maybe your pup doesn't want to sleep in a crate! would you?

    I know I wouldn't!

And you cannot return it if it's damaged..to whoever suggested that.

  7. Soft sided crates are for trained, well-behaved dogs that don't chew or attempt escape.  Ever seen a soft sided crate roll like a rodent wheel?

If you haven't had the crate long, you might want to see if you can exchange it for a real crate.

  8. I have been raising, breeding and showing for over 30 yrs now and have never, never raised a puppy in a crate . And I for one don't recommend it. The only time my dogs are in crates is when they go to and from shows or vets, and this is for their safety.

Dogs are pack animals and their family is their pack, they thrive to be with them.
