Puppy eating frog eggs?

Question

If a puppy eats frog eggs Will it make them sick? my husband cleaned the frog eggs out of our pond and the pups ate some of them..they got sick.. now they are fine they are eating and playing..I am just wondering if it is the eggs that made them get sick..I know it will make the fish sick if they eat them that's why we took them out..

I can't imagine that there is anything harmful in frog eggs.  I can see them causing an upset stomach because your dog isn't used to eating them but that's all.  What doesn't sound right is that there are frog eggs in August.  Frogs lay there eggs in the spring and all of them should have hatched by now.

I have a really curious and playful beagle and one time he caught a frog and immediately spit it out and started foaming at the mouth and shaking his head, I think it peed in his mouth or something. I rinsed  his mouth out and he was fine. I think/ hope he has learned his lesson.
