  1. Puppies generally start losing their baby teeth around 3 - 4 1/2  months of age. Their adult teeth are usually all grown in at about 7 months of age.

A few things effect the rate at which your pup will lose its teeth is affected by a few things including over all health and nutrition, gender, time of year whelped and breed. Females often get their adult teeth earlier than male dogs and summer puppies often get their teeth earlier than winter whelped pups. Also, large breed dogs usually get their adult teeth earlier than smaller breeds.

See the link below for more info.

  2. Each dog is different.

we don't loose tooth at the exact same time.

    same with dogs,

    it pretty much varies.

My 5 month old pup still hasn't lost one tooth.

  3. it does not take that long really, remember to give your pup nice safe teething toys, as teeth can hurt coming through :(

i was so shocked when my pups teeth were falling out! i kept them as a keep sake!

one minute they had baby teeth the next big teeth! :)

just make sure he has nice chews and before you know it they will have come through :)

  4. Pups start losing their 'caps' over their adult teeth about 4 1/2 to 5 months and even at 6 months.

Also did you know that your pup at 6 months old is at half his body weight. My dog was 82 lbs at 6 months. He is 9 months now and wweighs 117lb.

He should be 165 to 17lbs when he is full grown at 16 months.

He is a wolf dog pup.
