  1. I just got a shih tzu/ chihuahua puppy mix a few weeks ago and she does some of the same things... it sounds like he just has a LOT of energy, try letting him have more exercise and play with him a bit more. also, getting him nuetered (if hes not already) can help calm him down a bit. I don't know why he rolls on his treats but the bath thing is totally normal almost all dogs that i've had do it.

i know exactly what your talking about with the vacuum. I just tried to get my puppy used to it by holding her when i had it on and letting her sniff it and eventually she got used to it and stopped. I also got her interested in a toy before i started vacuuming.

  2. I know the bath thing is normal, not sure about the banana thing and dogs chasing vacuums and barking is normal too.

  3. My dog rolls like that when there's a scent (usually disgusting) that she wants to get nice and ingrained in her coat.  Sometimes, they can be itchy and that's how they deal with it, or they could just be playful and are trying to look cute, especially if you give them a positive reaction, they'll know that it works to get attention, and rolling is very cute.  After the bath, he's probably drying off, or poss. trying to get rid of the shampoo smell.  And yes, the vacuum is normal.

  4. Although all of these behaviors seem crazy to people who are first time dog owners, (which I am assuming that you are, or if you have had dogs, they must have been very calm) these things are completely normal puppy behaviors. There are a ton of explanations (mostly that involve dog's ancestors, wolves living in the wild) that you can find in dog books. Idiot's guide to dog behavior type thing.

  5. OK, hon, it's hard to understand what you are asking, what with all the LOLs and run on sentences, so I'll try to understand what it is you are asking.  My dog rolls around when he's wet too.  They're just trying to dry off quicker.  Don't worry about it.  Do not let him chase and growl at the vacuum.  It is a sign of dominance.  When you turn the vacuum on or bring it out, when he goes near it or barks, leave the vacuum on, but go to him and say no and make him back away.  Eventually, with practice, patience and consistency he will get it.  And finally, dogs like to roll in yummy/icky smelling stuff.  As long as it's not really gross, like p**p, don't worry about it.  I personally wouldn't let him, but if it doesn't bother you, then let him.  If you don't want him to, when he goes to do it, grab him by the collar and say no, firmly.
