Puppy sheet in convenience stores??

my friend got a puppy, and he said that he got it from a list in a convenience store, which had a list of local puppies for sale, is thhis true, and if so where could i find one, i live in toronto, near Markham, so i would prefer someone answers this question from a relativley close area to me, thx :)
