Puppy with a serious case of the hiccups?

he hiccups atleast 5 times a day. ATLEAST. Will this lead to any problems, and has anyone had this happen to them before

cold water.. is he still being fed my his mother?? cause that probubly means that when he drinks he if getting to much air bubbles in him... just pat his back and feed him water...

Do the hiccups happen just after he has eaten his food and he has been running around?

We have Bull Terriers and as puppies this happens regular, we have never had to take them to the vets for this reason. They all seem to grow out of it. We did mention it to our vet once and he couldn't stop laughing.

You could mention it just to be on the safe side next time you go.

Before anyone says anything, we have seven dogs and two cats and we are our vets best customer and each and every one are fully insured.

If you are concerned just ring and ask the vet, what harm can it do?

no but i think if you give him ice cold water it will go away and I'm not trying to make anyone think this is ridiculous but I'm trying to make a suggestion to try to scare it i don't want you to just try it ok :Z

I thought my dog had the hiccups to but then it got worse to coughing and vomiting. So I took him to the vet and he had serious kennel cough.

Its starts okay and then gets really bad I would recommend taking your dog to the vet either today or tomorrow and then you should tell the vet everything about the hiccups.

It might be just hiccups but if it progresses to coughing you need to take your dog to the vet!

When my dog Duke was a puppy he hiccuped all the time! It will go away once he is older.

hydrate that's about it...my yellow lab used to get them all the time
