Purchased a polk audio psw250

Question

Purchased a polk audio psw250 powered home subwoofer(used).The owner stated that It would not power on,so I figured It was a fuse.Got It home and took the amp off the box and sure enough the fuse was blown.Went to radio shack and purchased the same size fuse(1 amp 250v)In both the fast blow and the slow blow type and each time I plug It In It blows each type.The sub Is In really great shape and would like to fix It but I figure This Is more trouble then Its worth.Can anybody change my mind here?
