Purchased music won't download from iTunes Store?

I've had this constant bug with iTunes where my songs will download til it says "Processing File" then it freezes or it gives me an error message that says: "There was a problem downloading "nameofsong". An unknown error occurred (8248). Please check connection to the network is active and try again."

My internet works fine, but for some reason, I've had more and more song not being recieved after I've purchased them. When I report a problem, all they do is recredit it to my account, but the problem is, I can't download it! Anybody else had this problem? And if so, how do you fix it?

Also, the background of the iTunes store had been turning pink...virus?

  1. Mines been doing the same exact thing but mines only been doing this with iTunes Plus music. I just tried downloading a song today and that error code came up. I've been really mad because of it but I don't know. Was your songs iTunes Plus songs or just normal songs?

  2. My instincts say you might have a problem with the iTunes program.Try re-installing iTunes. See if that fixes it.

Go to control panel then Add / Remove programs and find iTunes and click REMOVE.

Then download the newest iTunes and install it again.

You won't loose your files. They will show up again when you run iTunes.

    If that doesn't work...

Run a virus scan and spyware scan. there may be something running in the background causing your connection to get bogged down.

If you're running wireless, you might need to change the channel your Wireless router uses in case its getting interference from an outside source.

Thats all I can think of without more information.

E-mail me with specific questions. I'll help you if I can.

    Good luck.
