Purchasing a Volkswagen?

I would love to buy a 2008 EOS Lux, white, but the delearship quote is 35,000. I want to pay no more than 28,000. Is this possible?

I read about the College graduate program that VW offers, would I necessary be asked for a downpayment if I have a good credit rating? I do have an offer letter and I would like to pay as much as 600 a month for 36 months if I were to choose a Passat 08. I also see that VW offers 0.0% APR for 08's can I get this? How can I qualify?

  1. You probably won't be able to get an EOS Lux for 28k, but you might be able to get it for about 30k. I know VWofAmerica is really struggling right now and they might be willing to deal.

  2. You need to check with them and see if you qualify. They usually need proof of enrollment in a college before you get any of those deals.

Anyways, if they're asking for 35k, its pretty much impossible to get it down to 28, but you can get pretty close. I'm guessing if you know how to deal with them right, and if you do your research, you can find one for about 30k.

28k would be the EOS Turbo or the EOS Komfort.

  3. Gee whiz, that is a lot of questions.

Talk to the dealer.  You won't be able to come down much on the EOS since it is arguably the best convertible on the market right now.

I would stay to stick with a used car or something much less expensive new until you get established in your career, first.  You probably want to buy a house eventually and save up some money in the poor economy.

Whether you qualify for 0% depends on your credit.  You may have good credit, but if it isn't established or you have a high debt/income ratio, it could get tricky.
