Purchasing college textbooks?

Im going to be purchasing my college textbooks very soon and I searched all the textbooks that go with the courses im taking... beside some of the textbooks it says required which is straightforward meaning I need the textbook then some say suggested... what do they mean by that?

  1. a good option with the suggested textbooks is to see if the library has a copy on reserve you can look at when it fits the material you are covering in class.


  2. Sometimes the professor may not necessarily use the "suggested" book to guide his/her lessons and/or exams, therefore if you want you can wait until the first day of class to see (or ask professor) if you will need the book for sure. But  book MAY help you out in studying a bit. Oh and if you know someone who can lend it to you, it would be best!!

  3. That means that they don't require you to have the book, but they strongly urge you get it because it will aide you in the class.  If money is tight, since it isn't required, order it off amazon or half.com
