Where would you recommend buying kitchen cabinets that is not a huge headache. cost effiecient and quality on a tight budget. We are not changing the configurations just taking cabinets down and putting new cabinets up. State of ohio with usual home depot/lowes stores.

  1. I bought my kitchen, used, off of CraigsList.

I love it, because I was able to upgrade my kitchen for a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen.

I got the cabinets, countertop, island, sink, faucet, and some appliances all for much, much less than a low end kitchen with all of these things.

(Of course someone has to be selling a kitchen you like at the time)

  2. Home Depot is a good start.  They carry several grades of cabinets to fit most budgets.  They also offer design service, and can offer some moderately priced upgrades to give the cabinets a custom look.  Hope this helps.

  3. Check both Home Depot and Lowes. We found Lowes to have better pricing than Home Depot on the cabinets we wanted.

  4. i have been researching for new cabinets myself  here in new york best deal i have found anywhere was weisman discount center but i would have to say home depot un assembled line is probably better in quality and reliability and availibility too i am buying  about 8 base and 7 wall cabinets there next week

  5. As Woodtick says Home Depot is a good place to start,Good customer service too.
