Pure aryans... yea right?

Question

why do people think they are pure aryan just because they can trace there roots to an early barbarian tribe... Do they even know that the barbarians come central asia..

Also the indo european peoples that moved into scandanavia mixed with asiatic peoples.... So there is no such thing as a pure aryan, Moors invaded europe. Italy had a host of many different races in its society whose empire expanded of much of europe... The huns mixed with east europeans , including germeny, ... why do people think they are pure aryans.. Even some of the hunnish tribes mixed with some barbarian tribes in fighting back againts rome and stuff... There is no such thing as a pure Aryan... because even the very 1rst aryans were already mixed race anyways so it wouldnt really make sense for people to say that they are pure aryan...

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. There is no "pure" race. There really isn't even any race. There is nothing that defines race at the genetic level. There may be certain genetic markers that only appear in certain groups of people but not in everyone in that group of people and possibly in two seperate groups of people.

Pure what?  Aryans?  The only Aryans I am aware are either the assertions of n**i Psuedo-science or the original immigrants to India.

You seem to have sufficiently answered your own question about Aryans... as to why people believe they are pure Aryans? Ignorance.

I laugh when someone says they are pure blooded __________,  It sounds like they are talking about their pedigree horse or dog.   I think the term pure Aryan was something political only in n**i Germany.  Doubt if Hitler himself would have passed the n**i's  Aryan test since he considered Slavic people subhumans.  He came from a part of Austria close to Czeckoslavakia and one of his brothers was named for a Czeck saint.

Wanted to invite you back over to genealogy, and help you get going to trace your lineage/ancestors.  Your question here shows exactly why I like genealogy, because you get REAL answers and friendly people. The beauty of that topic is finding pride in everything that you are.  You said it right here... no one is "pure" anything, and who wants to be "pure" something, if it becomes divisive? *smiles at papabear*

USE the knowledge to be positive. Ancient knowledge is too full of conflict for my tastes.
