Pure white cats with blue eyes? What kind are they?

I agree. The cat may have a Turkish Angora in his blood but he is domestic short hair.

Apple appears to have a lot of Siamese in her. I think that is where the blue eyes come from.

Blue eyed cats with white fur are more likely to be deaf, not ALL white cats with blue eyes are deaf but it is much more likely than with other types of regular house cat. I think that white cats with blue eyes are beautiful also, and I am sure that if you scour your local A.S.P.C.A or other animal shelter you will be able to find one who desperately wants a home and you get to be a hero and save a life. I would suggest going there and if you find a white haired blue eyed cat talk to it and see if it can hear you, older cats are better because they have longer attention spans than over active kittens and you will be able to discern if it can hear you or not more easily.
